Our 28 foot (approx 9 meter) vessel, Mokahora was designed by a local shipyard ARE TAHITI. The Are Boat brand has been recognized for many years in the manufacture of canoes, but not only, they have also put their know-how into the production of Labaste boats, the reference potimarara among Polynesian fishermen.
Mokahora is a revisited version of these famous ships, suitable for excursions, it has been widened to reach 2.85 meters in width, which gives it exceptional stability at sea. Its V-shaped hull, inherited from its elders, optimizes its performance for more comfort.
We have equipped it with two side ladders and an integral awning. A small scuba tank rack has been installed at the front of Mokahora to preserve a large free space. A second rack fits behind the sailor. Whether you have a rebreather or a big camera, all your gear will find its place without impeding the flow of people.
It was important for us to favor a local company and ARE met all our expectations, whether in terms of space, comfort or behavior at sea.
Mokahora can legally take on board up to 19 divers but we voluntarily limit a maximum of 7 divers and 2 instructors to offer you intimate dives in small groups!
